Welcome to bindbops!
Currently, your console (console.bindbops.com) has one product available, bindbopsID. BindbopsID is an automated asset onboarding tool, and in our help documentation, you will find everything you need to know to use it successfully.
Before you get started with the application itself, here are some terms we use, and you might find useful.
Asset: Τhe equipment that a company owns. We are creating categories of such assets and currently working on HVAC and Refrigeration. We can model any other category, just let us know at support@bindbops.com.
Asset Onboarding: The process of collecting and importing the data that characterise an asset.
Asset Categories: The most high-level category that the assets belong too.
"HVAC" for example, is the main category for all sorts of asset types like chillers, rooftops, AHU's etc.
We already define all Asset Categories. If you need a new one, please email us at support@bindbops.com.
Asset Identifiers: We use three pre-defined properties to identify an Asset. The Model Number, the Serial Number and a unique UUID (which you only see when you request your data)
These are the only properties that have to be named our way. You can define the rest.
Asset Types: Each asset must be tagged with relevant types. You can add as many Asset Types as you need to categorise your assets and name them as you wish.
Some examples: In the "HVAC" category one Asset Type could be named "Indoor Split", in the "IT" category one asset type could be named "laptop", another "monitor" etc.
Asset Properties: These are properties that help characterise a specific asset. You can freely name those properties as you wish and then give them values. This is the information that bindbopsID will also collect from your asset labels.
Some examples: In the "HVAC" category one Asset Property is "manufacturer", The value of the property manufacturer could be "Daikin", in the "IT" category one Asset Property is also "manufacturer".
Installation Properties: Properties that relate to how and where the asset has been installed.
Some examples: You can collect information about the "building", "floor", "room", "installation date" etc. All these are valid properties that you can collect about the asset
Location: The exact location of the asset on a map.
Asset AI Models: Our NLP machine learning algorithms that make bindbops work.
Not to be confused with "Model Number", which is the product identifier that a manufacturer gives to an asset.
GraphQL: GraphQL is an open-source data query and manipulation language for APIs, and a runtime for fulfilling queries with existing data.
